Delayed

THE upgrade of the Pacific Highway through Wyong has been delayed again - this time by proposed development at Tuggerah.

Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) engineers have advised Wyong Shire Council that progress on the highway upgrade has been put on hold while the Department of Planning investigates the Tuggerah Town Centre proposal made by shopping mall giant Westfield, Tuggerah.

The department has carried out traffic modelling to determine what impact the Tuggerah development would have on the highway through Wyong. That data is now being assessed by the RTA.
