CHRISTY Yung is beautiful, confident and set on a career as a model.
And now the 15-year-old Avondale School student from Cooranbong has achieved a major first step in reaching her goal.
Christy has caught the eye of the judges in the prestigious annual Model Search hosted by Girlfriend magazine.
"Friends encouraged me to enter and I am really excited about getting this far," she said.
Girlfriend magazine's 21st annual Girlfriend Rimmel Model Search, organised with Rimmel London, along with BlueJuice and CHIC Management, are looking for healthy, confident teenage girls aged 13 and over to enter the competition.
Girlfriend Model Search is the nation's longest running modelling competition with past winners now recognised on international catwalks.
"This competition really is one of the most prestigious searches in the industry," the magazine's editor Sarah Cornish said.
Christy's next challenge is the NSW Model Search Roadshow at Westfield Parramatta in July.
