Buff Point toddler's morning adventure

08 Feb, 2012 08:49 AM
A TWO-YEAR-OLD boy from Buff Point will be reunited with his parents today after apparently letting himself out of the family home and walking into a nearby yard early this morning.

About 4.50am today, police were called to Eloura Avenue, Buff Point, after a woman found the boy in the garden of her home as she was about to go to work.

She contacted police who attended and checked on the welfare of the child before taking him to Toukley Police Station.

Just after 6.30am his parents attended Toukley Police Station after waking up to find their son missing.

Investigations into how the child came to be outside are continuing, however, it appears he may have managed to open a child gate inside their house and then exit the property.

He is currently at Wyong Hospital for a routine medical examination and will be reunited with his parents later this morning.
