TAMWORTH Country Music Festival (which ended on Sunday) has proved the ideal antidote to homesickness for Central Coast country music sisters The McClymonts.
"There's nothing like home. The more time I spend away the more I want to get back to Australia," Brooke said.
And there's no better way to still feel a part of the Australian country music scene than performing at Tamworth.
For more than two years the sister trio, Brooke, Sam and Mollie, have split their time between their Australian residences and the house they share in Nashville.
"We set out to make it in America and everything has really started snowballing for us over there," Brooke said.
The McClymonts ended 2011 on a high, winning the prestigious Country Music Association Global Country Artist Award.
They have released two albums in the US and continually tour there.
The sisters have returned to Australia to announce their third album, Two Worlds Collide, to be released in June. It will be available in both countries.
When she is not touring, Brooke bases herself on the Central Coast with husband and fellow muso Adam Eckersley.
They regularly perform in Newcastle and Eckersley joined the McClymonts as a band member for their American tour last year.
"I hate being away from him," Brooke said.
The McClymonts kicked off 2012 with a huge concert at TREC's Jayco Country Theatre in Tamworth last Wednesday night.
They will perform at Belmont 16 Footers on Friday, April 13.
