MORISSET'S economic and employment growth continues with the announcement that 30 new lots will be developed in stages five and six of the Gateway Industrial Estate.
Construction will start in mid 2012.
Development director for Morisset Industrial Pty Ltd, Steven Dumpleton, said the project would provide many jobs and generally boost the Morisset district's economy.
"Some other areas may be contracting but Morisset's rapid retail and industrial growth matches the forecast in the Department of Planning's Lower Hunter Regional Strategy that it will become an emerging regional centre," Mr Dumpleton said.
"We are working with a number of likely purchasers now with the aim of starting construction in June-July with a completion date in the first quarter of 2013."
Mr Dumpleton has previously attracted several companies to Wyong Shire including Masterfoods, Sanitarium and the major employer Woolworths Distribution Centre.
He was project director for Tuggerah Business Park, Warnervale Industrial Park and the Morisset Industrial Park (Wyee Road stage).
The approved Morisset industrial development will comprise lots ranging in size from 1538 square metres to 6570 square metres.
The construction will complete and join Advantage and Accolade avenues which is expected to improve traffic flows in the industrial estate.
The development has access to optical fibre cable and natural gas.
This makes it a suitable location for the establishment of data centres requiring high-speed communications access and multiple energy sources.
Purchasers can exchange now, settlement will be upon completion of construction, and registration of the subdivision plan will occur in about a year.
Lots 404 and 405 are already completed and available for immediate sale.
